Charm gold is one of the most popular jewelry items. Such charm gold can be place on a chain (often made of gold itself) or, in some cases, attached directly to clothing. Charms can be made out of 18 carat gold, 10 carat gold, other metals colored gold or covered with a gold veneer and, very rarely, pure 24 carat gold. Charms can take a variety of different forms. Religious symbols (crosses, crescent moons, stars of David) are common as are good luck symbols like rabbits' feet and four-leaf clovers. Such jewelry charms are more often worn by women then by men but both men and women can and do wear them from time to time.
